ESL at Home

Hello! Thanks so much for your commitment to your students.  Here, you will find activities for K-8 students.  They require only paper and pencil, and some materials that can be found around the house.

Stay healthy!

Thanks so much for this, but there’s nothing “on the right”, no links, no activities. I’m really just looking for suggestions, as the EL Office of my district hasn’t provided any guidelines yet and we’re due to go live March 30. Help!

      Hi Susan,

If you’re viewing the website on the desktop version, you should see a list of links under Languages. If you’re viewing on mobile, click the three little lines at the top of the screen to extend the menu. I hope that helps!

I do not see a list of links under the languages. I am looking for Spanish.

Do you have any of the previous months archived other than March that I can access for the activity boards? I need specifically for grades 7 and grade 10 in English. Thanks so much! Great site!

    • mmontroni April 3, 2020 / 9:34 pm

      Hi Lisa,

All of the activity calendars are listed by language. Once opened, each document is broken down by K-2, 3-5, and 6-8. Grades 9-12 are listed in one document as well, and only in English at this time.

    Dear Maria,
Thank you so much for these multilingual language “opportunities”, they are fulfilling a need for a number of my schools with Canadian Newcomer families, who have settled in locales that are not “wired” the same as larger urban centres- it is expensive and data limits are often minimal for ALL of us, and English-only instructions would have been a challenge. I will be back when weeks 9-12 in Arabic are available- I hope 🙂 as the Ontario school closure is extended for another month.
